Kevin Gates is still relatively young and has plenty of mileage left in the tank. He’s shown that you can display both positive and negative emotions through his music. Instead of just talking about his problems, he’s able to turn them around in a creative outlet.

He’s open about being sad, which in the macho-ness of hip-hop culture, is a sorely needed outlier. He’s also been at the forefront of publicizing his battles with mental health.

For example, he stated “I’ve had good times and I’ve had bad times and I reminisce, maybe when I lay down, but throughout my day I keep myself engulfed in whatever moment I’m in because it could steer me into a depressed state.

Not many musicians, rappers or otherwise, are as frank and open as Kevin Gates. Let’s hope he sticks around for a while. There’s little doubt that his net worth will continue to increase as he becomes more and more popular of a musician.
