He’s known in the music world as Rich Homie Quan, but to his family, he’s known by the name Dequantes Devontay Lamar. He was born on October 4th, 1989 is 5’9” and 30 years old. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.

When he was young, Rich Homie loved to read and write. He went to Ronald McNair High School where baseball was his passion. He played center field and leadoff hitter. Rich Homie was so good that he got a scholarship to Fort Wayne State University for baseball!

Instead, he decided to start rapping and got a job at the airport. Unfortunately, he was fired from the job, and got into some illegal activity, including burglary. He was arrested and served 15 months in prison. After getting out, he decided to turn all of his efforts into getting his music career off the ground.

Besides his initial stint in prison, Rich Homie has had other legal issues. In May 2017 he was arrested with five other men and charged with felony drug possession. Police said they found weed and guns in his car.
