Roman is a married father of three. His first marriage was to Shanna Riley, whom he married in 2001. This union resulted in the birth of Noah Atwood in 2004. The marriage with Shanna ended when she allegedly cheated on him with a friend.

In 2008, Roman met Brittany Smith at the wedding of his friend, Chase Gilroy. Chase was marrying Veronica Smith, Brittany’s sister. Roman and Brittany fell for each other immediately and began dating.
