Fabolous was born John David Jackson in Brooklyn New York City, New York. His birthday is November 18, 1977. Not much information is published about his parents. What we do know is his parents are American and Dominican. Fabolous grew up in Brevoort Houses which is a public housing complex.
Fabolous has a brother named Paul Cain.
Personal life
Fabolous has been quite active on the dating scene. He was with the model reality show personality Erica Mena. He was also with model and actress Tahiry Jose, as well as model Amber Priddy.
Currently Fabolous is in a long standing relationship with Emily Bustamante. They’ve been together since 2002. Some gossip sites have reported that they let the news slip about them being married, but that has not been confirmed. The couple have 2 sons together Johan and Jonas Jackson.
In 2003 Fabolous was arrested for keeping a gun in his vehicle. Luckily, the gun belonged to his bodyguard so there were no charges.

Career
Fabolous received an invite to do a live performance on New York’s Hot97 radio show. This took place during his senior year in high school. He then signed to DJ Clue’s label “Desert Storm Records”. He then started getting featured on various mixtapes. Fabolous has actually mentioned that he hadn’t planned on being a rapper, he just in it for the money.
In 2001 Fabolous released his debut album “Ghetto Fabolous”. This album was released by the initial company he signed on with and it debuted at 2 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. It hit number 3 on US Billboard’s 200 chart. The album sold more than 140,000 copies during the first week. Two years later in 2003 the album rose to more than 1.05 million copies and was certified platinum. Singles released from that album include “Cant’ Deny It” and “Trade It All”. Also in 2003 “Street Dreams” was released. This album was produced by Elektra. It reached number 3 on Billboard’s 200 chart and sold 180,000 copies during the first week. The album only had 4 tracks, but it was still considered a commercial success. The very next year 2004 “Real Talk” was dropped. These two albums were also quite successful and ranked pretty well on the charts.

The very first album to reach the number 1 spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart was “From Nothin’ to Somethin'” That album was dropped in 2007 and reached the number 2 spot on the US Billboard 200. The album sold 159,000 copies during week 1 and sold 542,000 copies worldwide. It was certified gold. Fabolous put out various collaboration albums with top name artists such as Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, and T-Pain.
The next several years were very busy for the rapper. In 2009 Fabolous released the album “Loso’s Way” which hit the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In December 2010 Fabolous dropped his EP “There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP”. The next year in 2011 he dropped “There Is No Competition 3: Death Comes in 3’s”.
