Introduction

Famous Dex is a very talented American songwriter and rapper from Chicago who has only been in the rap game for a few years. It was losing his mother to breast cancer in 2015 that gave him the final push he needed to fully pursue his music.

He has brought a unique style to Chicago’s drill rap by focusing more on creativity than crime and violence. He has dropped six mixtapes and an album that has earned him a nice bit of money. Let’s take a closer look at his net worth, bio, personal life, career and more.

Early Life

Famous Dex’s real name is Dexter Gore Jr. He was born in Eaglewood, Chicago on September 6, 1993. The 6ft tall rapper has 11 siblings. His mother Pamela Winters was a waitress and chef at IHOP.

His father Dexter Gore Sr. is a former member of the U.S. Army. As a child, he attended Catholic School in Hyde Park. He then went on to Hernandez Middle School and Paul Roberson High School.

Growing up he had to survive in a very dangerous Chicago neighborhood. He grew up in an area that a few other famous rappers came out of such as Lil Reese, Chief Keef, and Fredo Santana.

Coming out of one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the area brings no surprise that Famous Dex had a little history with drug selling prior to becoming a rap star.

Personal life

Famous Dex has two little girls and boy who they just welcomed in 2017. He currently lives with his girlfriend of several years and mother of three who is known in public as Baby Mama.

The couple remained separate for a while after the rapper beat her up, but eventually they patched things up when he came forward and apologized.

The incident took place at Tish Hyman’s apartment. Tish Hyman is a famous songwriter, and the cameras in her building captured the incident.

Tish Hyman wound up posting the footage on her IG Page stating that she let Famous Dex stay at her place and he broke into the spot and beat a young lady up so bad. She also referenced Puma in the post asking if that’s the behavior they want representing the brand.

In the result of the leaked footage Puma wound up terminating Famous Dex’s endorsement contract. He also had to serve jail time.
