I pay homage, he inspired my music. So yea it’d probably be Young Thug featuring Chief Keef, produced by Sonny Digital and London On the Track.”

Tips for Success from Smokepurpp

  1. “You gotta do a lot more than rap. Rap is not just rap. If you don’t have an image, you’re not capturing nobody’s attention.”
  2. “I got started as a producer first, but really, I feel my beats had more life than anyone could rap on them.”
  3. “I was watching [XXL Freshman] freestyles from a long time ago, [when I was] really young. I don’t [remember what class]. I was probably like 11 or 12 years old. I started watching all of them from beginning to end. Honestly, as a rapper, the Freshman list is definitely the biggest milestone. Culture-wise, anything-wise, that’s the biggest stamp. Every year when I start making a project, this is what I’m thinking about. I’m trying to go hard so I can make the list.”
